As a samQ customer, you know that we continuously strive to improve the platform for you. This time around the new release includes the following improvements: S/4HANA license templates, fill-up (redistribution) logic using higher-value license categories, and a more powerful user management feature.
S/4HANA finds its way into samQ
S/4HANA licensing is getting more and more important. Adding to our existing license template what-if simulation mode, samQ now offers templates for the new S/4HANA licenses types:
- S/4HANA Enterprise Management for Professional use
- S/4HANA Enterprise Management for Productivity use
- S/4HANA Enterprise Management for functional use
Run your own simulations and prepare your organization for a cost-efficient S/4HANA migration.
Improved user consolidation within the different SAP systems
User consolidation has been a samQ feature since its inception. Now it’s time for an overhaul of the functionalities. With the new release, you can now group users based on SU01 fields. E-mail based consolidation has been an option since 2015. Starting today, you can also define and use further SU01 fields within the samQ Customizing.
Smart distribution: samQ redistributes spare licenses to where they’re needed
We improved samQ’s redistribution logic to offer you an even better license management. Within samQ’s Customizing Options, you can now configure without limitations which license types are redistributed to which group.
There’s another advantage: Until now, samQ filled up the target category until the compliance gap was closed. This will change with the new release. The filling ends at the moment, when the upper limit of the portfolio of the filling license has been reached. This is done fully automatically and without readjusting.
More powerful User Management
samQ’s consolidated user listing enjoys great popularity within our customer base. We fine-tuned the available information to improve the usability for you. Just like in standard SAP menus, you can now pick and choose all relevant SU01 fields for the report and drill-down analysis. This way you can contrast different findings and use more detailed information for even better results.
